Gramatura

Nos Estados Unidos, a gramatura de camisetas não é medida apenas em GSM (gramas por metro quadrado), como é comum no Brasil. Lá, o padrão comercial mais utilizado é o oz/yd² (onças por jarda quadrada).

Abaixo estão as categorias principais usadas no mercado americano:

1. Lightweight (Leve) - Geralmente usadas para prática de esportes, camisetas promocionais baratas ou uso em climas muito quentes.

·       Onças: 3.5 a 4.5 oz/yd²

·       GSM: 120 a 150 g/m²

·       Exemplo: Camisetas de algodão ring-spun finas ou "fashion fit".

2. Midweight / Standard (Média) - É o padrão da indústria para o dia a dia. Equilibra durabilidade e conforto.

·       Onças: 4.7 a 5.3 oz/yd²

·       GSM: 160 a 180 g/m²

·       Exemplo: A clássica Gildan 5000 ou modelos básicos de varejo.

3. Heavyweight (Pesada) - Muito valorizada no estilo streetwear ou para uniformes de trabalho que precisam resistir a mais lavagens e manter a estrutura.

·       Onças: 6.0 a 7.5 oz/yd² (podendo chegar a 9 oz em edições premium)

·       GSM: 200 a 250+ g/m²

·       Exemplo: Camisetas "boxy" e com gola mais fechada, comuns em marcas de skate e moda urbana.

Dica: Para converter onças para gramas por metro quadrado com precisão, o fator de conversão é aproximadamente 33.9.
